Three Farmers: A catalog of found objects
Three Farmers mission is to exhibit found objects of beauty, camp, nostalgia or cultural merit. Lost or forgotten items - family photos, pulp paperbacks, vinyl LPs, and other ephemera - will again be found and appreciated. And just like the photo "Three Farmers on Their Way to a Dance," each object has a story to tell.

Three Farmers is for Sale!

June 14th, 2010 by Patrick

I regret to announce that although I will still collect strange items, I will no longer display them on this website. My priorities lie elsewhere at the moment and I don’t want to stretch myself too thin. Perhaps in the far future ThreeFarmers will live again, but I do not perceive this changing any time soon.

If anyone would like to purchase the name and digital content of this website, please let me know. Otherwise I will sit on it indefinately.

Boyscouts in the Photomatic

March 23rd, 2010 by Patrick

photomat-frontphotomat-backFound In: Antique Store

The weird framing and the plain white background make this picture look like it was taken in a photo-booth. The boy also looks like a boyscout. I could be wrong.

The back of the cardboard frame does say it was “Taken by the PhotoMatic”. I’m guessing it was a type of photo-booth from the 40’s or 50’s. I didn’t know they had those back then!

If anyone has any more info about this please let me know.

Pixote: A Lei do Mais Fraco Poster

March 15th, 2010 by Patrick

pixoteFound In: The Internet

Pixote may be my favorite film, and this poster may be my favorite poster.

He has robbed,
pimped, & pushed drugs…
He has killed three men…
He is eight years old!

That is not accurate at all. The movie is actually quite touching. But after reading that slogan I had to buy this. I love how sleazy and pulpy it is. I have it hanging up in my living room.
