Pixote may be my favorite film, and this poster may be my favorite poster.

He has robbed,
pimped, & pushed drugs…
He has killed three men…
He is eight years old!

That is not accurate at all. The movie is actually quite touching. But after reading that slogan I had to buy this. I love how sleazy and pulpy it is. I have it hanging up in my living room.

Found in: An old shelf in art frame store

There is an interesting story about this one. My brother worked making picture frames at a gallery. He was tasked with cleaning out an old room. On the top of a never-looked-at shelf he found this when it fell on his head.

He thought it was an old porno film and was going to throw it out but then he thought he should give it to me because I like film so much and it looked old.

I saw it and instantly recognized the name of Stan Brakhage, the great experimental film-maker. In fact, I had heard of Lovemaking, and the controversy surounding it, and was aware of how rare it was. I am very thankful that this somehow wound up in my hands, and that the film is in perfect shape, too.
